lyrics

SILENT CAGE

Imprisoned in my cage,
that they call my home.
Protected, safe and warm;
outside it's my hope.
Solitary silence,
I have never left these walls.
Hands in my hair
never waved by wind.
My mind can't give a sense
to the undefined colourful glimpses of light,
that can't be focused by my sight.

What lies beyond this still silence?

And when the stars appear,
You fade into the sunset,
And when the night is here,
you become a whispered scream.
And when the stars appear,
You fade into the sunset,
And when the night is here,
you become a whispered scream.

Often my memory is an enemy
that suffocates my dreams.

Only crazy thoughts,
across my mindless silly cage
Suffocate my throat.
How can I look inside the rain?

I will breathe your
endless symphonies,
I will hear your
quiet soundless breeze.
(x2)

I remember that time.
I remember the time when I was just a child,
no wonders, no questions, no “why?”.
But now I am tired of these fields,
I'm looking for something more real.
Voices in my head,
Voices in my head,
I can't forget what they said.

You will see the island of ice.
You will walk across the valleys
on paths that the ancestors
have never crossed.
You will see the last dawn,
You will follow shards of destiny
written in runes on the enchanted stone.

I can't forget what they said.

I remember my mother was dying,
It's when she told me to reach the sunrise.
I remember my father was crying,
I am sure that he couldn't realise.

While my mother trembled but smiled
I stared so deep in her eyes.
“Watch my eyes!”

I suddenly got what my mother had said.
Just one hope:
I must go.
Leaving this valley of sadness,
learning to listen to my veins,
I'll be able to smile in the darkness.
I'll be able to look in the rain.
But how can I leave myself?

But, thinking about my father and wife,
On the fence for leaving or staying.
I left.
